Today's CD haul...something for everyone (probably)

I listened to the new stuff on the Van Halen collection, it's all fantastic. It's nice to hear what it really sounds like since the concert had too much treble and it was hard to make out a lot of the songs, even ones I knew. It's also nice to have a VH hits album with "Love Walks In", "Hot For Teacher", "(Oh) Pretty Woman", etc.

I heard the first few songs on the Hives CD before I got back to work, they're great as well. All songs seem to be about 2 minutes long, but the band is so tight and the songwriting is strong, so it doesn't feel cheap. Of course it was though- $9.99.

I haven't listened to any of the Ashlee Simpson CD, but I would like to say I've always thought she was hotter than her sister, even when I only saw her as one of Jessica's backup dancers. Thank you.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I figured as much. But since I got a classic rock band's hits album, a modern rock band's album, and a pop album, I figure most boarders listen to at least one of those things.

I liked the first album of the hives, but the new song they got out doesn't do anything for me. I don't know why since it sounds a lot like the other stuf..

Yep - you were right. My music preferences tend to go to the heavier side of things. Van Halen actually is on the lower lower end of what I listen to. [img]wink.gif[/img]

I also listen to Rap, Country (not as much now though), and basically anything else.

Not a big fan of nu-metal (i.e. Linkin Park) and wuss-rock (i.e. Nickelback, Puddle of Mudd) though.
